As mentioned in another thread I plan to visit the Galapagos in August 2016. Now there is a lot of talk about a strong el nino 2015/2016: The Rise And Rise Of The 2015 El Ni
The peak is usually around christmas but could also be earlier. So my trip would be after the el nino (if predictions hold up) and temperatures are cooling down. However I'm worried that it is still to early to go and the whale sharks and the schools of hammerheads won't return that soon. Has anyone some thoughts or experienced diving the galapagos right after an el nino? I don't want to spend that much money to be disappointed.
