I was wondering how much of the plane is left at the shore dive behind El Cid La Cieba? How bad did it get hit and is it still worth a dive? I used to like it just a bit above the shore dives at Caribe Blue and El Presidente. Have any of the shore dives actually gotten better after Wilma? Has anyone done the Villablanca shore dive lately?

Thanks,
Matt

The hotel is still closed and being renovated.

Lets face it the plane was not in good shape befor Wilma.

AS for the Villa Blanca....I did two dive at Christmas and Two dives two weeks ago....It's pretty much desert and the landmarks I used to use for natural navigation are gone....that being said, there are some "new" things to see.

It's still a good place to check your weighting out or do check out dives. There was even a group of SNUBA divers on a dive.

So...rent some tanks from Mike and have a good dive.

Yes, but it was turning into quite a nice little man-made reef. Every year there had been more and more growth and animal life about.
