Hi,
we just released the virtual dive site for "The Choke"

the_choke_map.jpg

The Choke is an extremely deep dive site (>600ft) located in the La Jolla Canyon - just South West of Murray Head.

This site is characterized by a "Deep Choke" in the La Jolla Canyon where the walls come only a couple of meters apart.

Do NOT dive this site if you are not trained in very deep diving. Do NOT dive this site alone.

This is the fifth dive site where you can can capture lobsters.
This Lobster hunting site is located in Santa Catalina.
The lobsters here are bigger than in site 4 but more difficult to capture.

To be able to enter this dive site you must have captured first at least one lobster bigger than 2.3Kg / ~5lb at the dive sites Lobster 1, 2, 3 or 4.
This site is a timed site: you have 20 minutes to catch your lobsters, report them to the station and exit the dive.

This is a night site so make sure you have a flashlight with you. Bigger is better !
The depth at this site starts at ~11m/~35ft and then slopes down toward the north with some boulders. The deepest point is at ~60m/~200ft, but you will find more lobsters in the shallow.
Make sure you bring along some weapons as a couple of Great White Sharks have been spotted in the area .... and few nasty crabs too.
The lobsters in this site are quite BIG (up to 3.8Kg/~8.3lb) ..... but more difficult to capture, and tend to run away toward the deep end.

Enjoy the game
