though it isn't as pretty as the Aggressor, the Palau Eco Explorer is a fantastic boat, big and roomy, and being anchored at German Channel most of the week made for incredible views morning, noon, and night. Sitting on the top deck between dives or while eating meals was a joy.

one afternoon we spent the entire surface interval touring the Rock Islands on the chaseboat

our dive guides for the week: Richard from the UK (instructor and videographer), Sean from US (instructor), Marco from Philippines (DM), and Jim from UK(instructor). Great guys, great divers, and great hosts

LOL, what happened to Sean's hair! We had Richard and Sean on our Palau trip on the Pacific Explorer earlier this year. Great guys.

this week is Sean's last before he heads back home to NC to start medical school, so I bet he got a haircut to impress the parents. LOL

Yes, all 4 of the guides were fantastic. Sean and Jim both leave this week (Jim is moving to a land-based op in Palau). Two new dive guides arrived the day we left, a guy from Australia and a girl from Europe (not sure what country).

actually we had two divers who had been on the Big Blue 2 years ago. They liked the Eco much better. They said the rooms are bigger and the ship is in better shape overall. With the BB still in drydock in the Philippines, it worked out well for us! :D

Looks like you guys had a good time. Went zipping by you a few times and ended up diving with Shaun when his liveaboard time ended.
