22 of us from HK had a fabulous time diving the wrecks on board Thorfinn. The flights were tiresome and tedious to say the least even for us from HK. This is the problem of monoploy on the route by CO.
5 dives a day were offered except on the first(3) and the last(3) day of the trip. The deepest dive was on San Francisco Maru. There was so much to see on this wreck that some of the group decided to make two dives on the same day and gave the other three scheduled dives a miss. It is quality rather than quantity that count.
Thorfinn also offers technical diving to qualified diver(CCR and OC). The cost of O2 had also been reduced. However, the daily rental charge of US$20.00 for a twin set is a bit excessive!! US$3.00 for stage bottle(?).
Deterioration of the wrecks are to be expected but........still annoying to see divers sitting in the cockpit of the Zero in Fujikawa Maru or something similar.
