I am traveling to the east end on Saturday out of Atlanta. We are staying at Grand Morrits and diving with tortugadivers. Like others, this trip has been planned for awhile and I hate to cancel, but also don't want to be holed up in our condo for a week. I guess I can only wait and see where it is on Friday!. Let's all hope it misses the islands.

Any advice for the anxious traveler?

Change your ticket to depart Monday or Tuesday. There would be a slim chance your flight will go out on Saturday given the predicted path of Ivan. I was supposed to leave for GCM today and American let me change it to Monday. If you are going out of ATL, then I assume you are on Delta, not sure if they have the same policy as AA, give them a call and see if they will let you change it.

I can't recommend flying in before Sunday based upon current forecast track.

Some of the boats from Red Sail, Tortuga, and Sunset House have already been moved to hurricane shelter. Looks like the rest of Tortuga's boats may go into shelter Thursday. The storm is on schedule to arrive Saturday and it will likely be Sunday before boats are back out Monday when East End is ready to dive. All of this may change as the forecast changes.
