Early Morning Flight Out Of Cancun?

Doin the bagdrag and leaving Coz on Monday (half day in Playa and off to hotel in Cun) to fly out at 06:30 on Tuesday - how early should we be at the airport? Thanks

430 AM at the latest. There are two hotels close to the airport: Comfort Inn and Courtyard Marriott and both have free transportation to the airport.

Do not be surprised if the courtesy transportation in the AM is with held. In February I stayed at the Comfort Inn because of the free shuttle for the AM flight to DFW. While it is advertised as having a shuttle the staff at the desk told each guest, with a practiced big sh!t eating grin, that it was illegal for them to go to the airport but there would be plenty of cabs in the AM, for $15USD each, for the 3/4 mile trip to the terminal.

We are staying at Hotel Cielo for one night on the way to Coz - would you just stay in Playa again and arrange early P/U with private shuttle service like USA transfers?

I don't mind having to be at the airport at 4:30AM to GO to Cozumel (we do it nearly every time we go), but having to do it to leave just sounds cruel to me.

Amen brother, Amen! Southwest has a flight leaving at like 615 now. Breakfast, screw around, hit the 3 pm mayair.

Trust me guys - not my idea of fun (06:30 flight or 04:30 at the airport) ... takin the kids this trip and had to make sacrifices ($) for the four of us - well worth it this time to get my daughters certs!

Hotel Cielo is a great little hotel! Have stayed there many times. If you're saying that you are trying to get from PDC to Cancun airport in the morning for a 6:30 AM flight, don't think you'll be able to do that. To be there 2 hrs. in advance, 4:30 AM, you'd have to leave PDC by 3 AM on a fast taxi. Stay by the airport. How long are you going to be on the entire trip? If you're just doing the kids certifications, just stay in PDC the whole trip & dive there. The currents on the Cozumel reefs could be intimidating for the newbies. Have fun!
