Hello scubaboard community,
I am not diving but i have experienced similar ear barotrauma symptoms that divers get, i have developed tinnitus and decreased hearing after painful ear syringing at a doctor even though my eardrum is intact, do you think it goes away over time? It has been 2 months and tinnitus is better compared to first day, thanks for responses in advance.

You probably have Otitis Media. That's when some trauma or infection happens, and you get brain fluid stuck behind your eardrum. It's not as bad as it sounds, I even had the scuba diving equivalent of it last month (barotitis media). If it's been 2 MONTHS you NEED to go to a doc and they'll treat it with corticosteroids or some other rx.
