Does anyone own or have a good working knowledge of the Eagle Z1? I would like a subjective review on how it compares to the Zeagle Ranger. If you read the information on the Eagle it sounds like you get a lot more for half the money when compared to the Ranger; stronger, more lift, better weight dump design, etc.

I'm also considering the Sherwood Outback if anyone has had a good/bad experience with that BCD.

I want a BCD that will accommodate twins (LP95's) and also work well with a single tank (steel 72 or HP80).

Also, any strong opinions on a good brand of manifold?

Thanks

Hate to say it, if you want to dive doubles and singles, then I would suggest getting a BP/W with a doubles wing for the doubles and an extra wing for the single tank. It's a really easy conversion and the most comfortable way to go.

I just realized that I have in fact heard of the Eagle Z-1. It is a knock-off of the Zeagle Ranger available on that un-named auction site huh?

Do yourself a favor. If you decide to go with the BCD over a BP/W spend the money and get the Zeagle. For a number of reasons:

1) Warranty, Zeagle offers a lifetime warranty on all products they sell.
2) Service, If you ever need parts and/or service then they are going to be readily avaiable at your LDS.
3) Travel, Zeagle has parts and service available worldwide, Eagle???

As for the Eagle Z-1, my opinion is that anybody can write a slick advertising campain and sell a product cheap. But I would rather spend a few extra dollors for the peace of mind knowing that what I purchased is backed up by the manufacturer, and that that manufacturer has and will be around for a long time to come.
