Just wondering if the Eagle Rays have been seen schooling up north yet. All I have been seeing mentioned was the occasional 1 or 2 throughout the different dive sites.

Not sure about up North but last month there was a school of 7 at Punta Sur. 7 were schooling and milling about on the inboard side of a large head, plus 2 more outboard, about a 150 yards, feeding on the sand bottom at about 130'. Same morning another DM, with another operator, spotted what he thinks was a large bull shark cruising in the distance.

so far it appears the rays are a no show at Cantarell Wall.

We saw 18 in formation yesterday, while diving the Sleeping Shark Caves (now have three of them) WAY up north. I'll try to get Memo Mendoza to post the video.

Current was ripping, I'm beginning to think they like big current. This may be where they go to when not at Canterell Wall. We hope that they move down soon so more can enjoy them.
