e-mail notification of subscribed thread updates

Hi there,

I have my options set to "no email notification," yet I still regularly get emails from the board informing me of updates. Is there a way to stop these emails?

You need to remove any subscriptions you may have set by going to http://www.scubaboard.com/subscription.php?. The option you have changed simply changes the default subscription setting for new posts/ threads you make but does not change older threads or manual overrides. If you want to insure no email reaches you, turn off "recieve email from administrators" (http://www.scubaboard.com/profile.php?do=editprofile or http://www.scubaboard.com/profile.php?do=editoptions) and you shouldn't recieve a single system message ever again.

I do have 'email from administrators' turned off. I had subscribed thread email turned off, but looking through the list of subscriptions, some had been marked to notify. I guess I must have missed it when I changed themes a while back.

hmm... wait. Similar question: I am trying to get SB to stop sending me those notification things (the subscribed threads), but keep all other mail from scuba board... how does that work?

I actually put together a little FAQ item on the subject of removing yourself from ScubaBoard's varrious email lists & systems which you may want to check out at http://www.scubaboard.com/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_optout. The most important part is the final option which allows you to remove yourself from all system mailings if you so choose.
