My review of the Nauticam NA-EM5 housing for the Olympus E-M5 is now released in the new issue of Underwater Photography magazine, UWPMAG.com. I also have the cover shot taken with the same system.

Excellent review, Phil. My one criticism of the NA-EM5 is, it's too easy to bump the on/off switch and turn the camera on/off when you don't want to. Other than that, the folks at Nauticam did a fantastic job. For those of you who do not own this housing, find someone who does and look inside at the engineering that went into its design - awesome.

I was not surprised to read that it is possible to forget to attach the flash unit before a dive. I worry about forgetting to pack it when I fly off somewhere on a trip! They cost $50 I think, and one might find it's way into my save-a-dive kit.

Great review.

Hi Phill, Excellent review!!!!!!!!

which Carry On Case would you recommend for traveling? Nauticam omd em5 housing + 2 YS D1 strobes + arms + pany 8 dome port and 12-50 port.

Thanks
Franzo

Frank,

I used a Portercase and had lots of room for additional stuff on my recent trip to Mexico. You should be able to get everything you've listed above into a backpack. Total weight is about 10 pounds.

Thanks for the comments regarding my E-M5 review.

Regarding my carry-on I have used the Portercase for many years and like it a lot. I am now using a ThinkTank Airport Security roll-on because I can fit a bit more stuff in it and it has a wire cable that can be locked onto somthing to reduce the chance of theft.

Just read your review Phil, great work !

As a carry on I use a Lowepro Vertex 300AW, I like a backpack to carry stuff around.
Lowepro - Vertex 300 AW
It takes my full E-3 rig, the Nauticam E-M5 should fit with room to spare......

Hi Phil
