I took the plunge on an Olympus E-M10 with 60 mm macro lens, AOI octo housing, and port (and lights, etc.) I know that the UWL-09 works with the 14-42 kit lens, supposedly very well. Is that my only option to shoot wide angle and macro at the same time, or is there a way I can use the 60 mm macro lens plus a wet lens to allow optimized macro with the possibility of taking decent wide angle pics if a pelagic swims by?

The holy grail! I'm a little out of touch and may have misunderstood the question, but the 60mm lens is great for macro all by itself. I've taken some nice larger fish pictures with it as well, but can't see it being useful for big pelagics. As for the 14-42 lens, it's OK, but don't think it's going to win awards in any category.

In short not with the 60mm. You can get the Nauticam MFO-3 which makes it a wide-ish 30mm but definitely not a wide angle.

The 30mm macro can be used behind certain wet wide lenses like the Kraken KRL-09S

The only thing that can work with the 60mm is the Nauticam MFO-3, as mentioned above. It won't make it a Wide Angle lens, just less macro, but not WA.

You should get the 30mm macro lens anyway and then use the Kraken KRL-09S with it.

I'll be getting the MFO-3 for my 60mm lens, and I'll be buying the 30mm macro lens and will use a wide-angle conversion lens with it, not sure which, but the MWL-1 from Nauticam is my first choice, but looking at the Kraken KRL-09S option as well.

I won't give the 14-42mm any consideration myself.

Thanks all. I guess I’ll either shoot the 60mm and just do macro with my GoPro to catch any wide stuff, or use the 14-42.

Why 30? Won’t the greatly decrease macro working distance compared to the 60 mm?

Life (and u/w photography) is full of compromises.
You've already got the 60mm, so you have effectively shut yourself out of wide-angle opportunities.
With the 30mm, you can have macro (just not quite as macro) and quite good WA with the KRL-09S.
With the 14-42, you get no macro but add a WWL (for example) and you gt great WA.
You can change wet lenses underwater and get good macro and good WA,,,but not with the 60mm.
So, it is up to you. What compromises do you want to make?

Thanks. This is clear. My first priority at this point is macro, so will just go with the 60. I was hoping I might be able to add a wet lens for more flexibility. I will just try the two lenses (and ports) I have for now and hold off on the wet lens.
