E-520 - Ports and extender problem

Ok quick question if anyone has experience of this.

I have the E-520 housing and several ports. I bought the port extender for use with the 1.4 TC. The extender is currently stuck on the Dome port and for love or money I can't seem to budge it. Anyone have any tips for removing this if it appears to be stuck on fast.

Failing that would you think it would be an issue using the Dome port with the 50mm macro+1.4TC?

If this is the Olympus extension ring you can add non-skid type tape to the extension to get a better grip in the future. Some have used a strap wrench to help remove the stuck extension. I carry a strip on surgical rubber (like used to draw blood) to get a better grip on the extension. In the future always remove the port from the housing then the extension. If the extension comes off first, tighten and try the macro port again.
