Does anyone know who the manufacturer IS of this DIR-approved 2nd stage Reg from Extreme Exposure?

Looks like the generic Chinese regs that anyone can rebrand - maybeTop Score from Tiawan or some similar company.

Looks like Ocean Divers, in Taiwan. Same one as everyone else is selling, including Salvo.

Though the Salvo one is $100 less so maybe it isn't the same.

Geez Phil, everyone know it's proclaimed by the great big whatever from high atop the thing.

Looks mysteriously like PROTEUS [RL2000] :: Tilos, Inc or Promate, Diverite, Oxycheq, Salvo etc.

Which I discovered in the tread http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/regulators/222069-diverite-rg2000-clone.html ; many Brands offer regulators that are actually manufactured by "Ocean Divers Supply Tiawan".

They aren't "knock-offs", grey market or fakes (clones) they are essentially the same regulators minus the plastic logo caps on the 2nds?

I am very pleased with mine and the price!

Phil Ellis and Oxyhacker have sort of confirmed the same thing.

Phil sells a version of this (ScubaMax) and Oxyhacker offers some great books (one great one is on regulator repair EVEN if you have no intention of doing your own service work!)

I don't see "DIR Approved" anywhere on the webpage. So, perhaps I'm not understanding the point of the OP saying that this is a "DIR" reg.

I agree, its an Ocean Divers and the Promate Version is here and is environmentally sealed@ $187 FREE shipping one year warranty or extended it if you wish!The non-envireonmentally sealed version and I cannot tell on the Extreme Exposure model is only $169, FREE shipping!
