Hi all, finally did our first ocean water dives and have a question. My D6i consistently registered a water temperature of 84 °F all week long while diving in St. Lucia. My wife's Vyper Air was even higher. This according to our memory logs. What, exactly, is this temperature? I don't typically check temperature while at depth but I felt unusually cold on this one dive so I checked the temperature at depth and it was 82 °F. Yet my memory log says the temperature was 84 °F. So what is the recorded temperature in the log? I suspect it's the last temperature at the sampled scan, which would more than likely put it at surface temperature (or thereabouts). Anyone know?
