My checkout dives are scheduled for this weekend. My instructor just sent an email saying there is a possibility DS will be closed because of Isabel. Should know by Thursday. That sucks!

Sorry 2 Bar! I was so hyped for my checkout dives, I would have gone crazy if they got postponed. Hope you get them done, and get some dives in, before it gets too cold.

many moons ago i did my check outs there at the end of october.
i remember scraping ice off my windshield in the morning.
it made the water feel oh so much warmer.
i think they do a new years eve dive if anyone is interested.

According to the forecast, It will all be over by Friday. The only difference will be all the dives will be a little bit deeper. Since Dutch has heavy ground cover, run offs ruining VIZ is not a problem. Good Luck. I may be there on Sunday. Look me up.
I was just there with my sister this past saturday. It rained all day, I thought vis and temp would be way down. It was the opposite, allot less divers and temp and vis were way up. Cant hurt that there are less divers kicking up the silt.
We dove the helicopter it was a fun swim through and I got some cool pictures. Ill try to post one later.

I will be there with my LDS doing my AOW this weekend. I was hoping to try some of the Dive-Rite gear as well since they are there for their demo days this weekend.

Our LDS said it should be open considering the storm will be over by Friday am.
I'll be there with 2 bar as he gets his OW Cert!!
