My Nitek Duo seems to give me an ascent warning every dive, especially if I'm scootering, but it has done it on dives without a scooter. At some point during the dive, it starts doing it's flashing and beeping routine, and it never stops, no matter how still I hold it during the dive. A reset didn't help. Any idea what coud cause this?

It also flashes confusing numbers. it will flash an odd number, along with the depth...so if my depth is 20 feet, it might flash 56---56----56----20----20-----56----56----56. I haven't paid enough attention to see if there is any relation between the numbers, but it's definitely not my current depth or a stop depth.

It didn't used to do these things. It's about a year and a half old.

Hi JahJah,

Give Mike a shout in service at service@diverite.com. Could be a battery, but perhaps also a transducer issue. He'll need the serial number from the unit and will be happy to sort you out.

Best,
Kathleen
