Dumb Question

I've been browsing regs (not serious yet about buying but it is only a matter of time - my BCD should arrive next week!). Can someone tell me whether it is normal to buy the hoses separately or if the reg comes with hose as well as 1st/2nd stage. Ditto with octopus. Thanks

If you buy a 1st/2nd stage, you'll normally get a normal length LP hose (33"?). If you buy an "octo" second stage, it'll normally come with a longer (36") yellow LP hose.

Yes most reg sets come with a hose and first and second stage unless you buy the first and second stage seperately.

Usually the octopus(2nd stage only) will come a 36-40" hose. A lot of octopus's come with a yellow hose and second stage making them easily identifiable.
