Questions on drysuit fit

I am looking at a used DUI TLS 350 for the GF and have a few questions on fit and fit with different size undergarments.

For the DUI how large is too large. The suit is one size to big based on charts. I heard that DUI charts assume a 200g undergarment, so I figured that in the cold water this should fit with a 400g+ undergarment. Does this sound right? Diving in Michigan the water and air temperatures change drastically from winter to summer and from Great lakes to Inland lakes (temps 38F - 70F). In the warmer water will this be too loose with just 200g or under armor gear? I see alot of people with multiple suits and wondered if the undergarment size made such a difference that they have different dry suits for different conditions.
