Anyone use the DSS delrin thumbwheels and the Q-Tach retainers on a Koplin BP? From the photos, it looks like they should fit, but I'm wondering if the screws for the retainers will interfere with the STA. Even without the retainers, the thumbwheels look like a big improvement over wingnuts, but if they were captive, that would be even better.

Another nice DSS innovation, I just hope it fits my BP.

Well, not a direct answer to your question but I use his delrin thumbwheels (no retainers) on my doubles (DR plate) and love them (cheap too).

They should work. Its the bolt size you need the check, not the BP itself. I only use the thumbwheels. Don't need the Q-tach thingies.

I just ordered a pair of the wingnuts and retainers from Tobin. When I was talking to him on the phone he wanted to make sure I had a plate that would work with the retainers. He said that you need to have at least two sets of holes or slots in your plate for each bolt and those holes need to be on 1 inch centers. Of course one of the holes is for the bolt on your bands and the onther hole is the mounting hole for the retainer. They can orient either up or down but the 1 inch center is critical. I happen to have one of his plastic plates so it is definitely not an issue for me.

I have not yet recieved the parts but I have every expectation that they will work flawlessly. I just doubled my Faber LP95's with Highland 2 1/2 inch bands. I hope to get in the water either next weekend or the one after.

Yippee, no more renting doubles. But now I no longer have single tanks.
