Ds4 Atx 50

I found a DS4 ATX 50 for $200 cheaper than the LDS can sell it to me for and want to know how many parts typically require replacement (cost during service). I am just asking for an average not a hard figure.

I am having a hard time justifying the 200 dollar difference for a parts warranty.

Depends on your relationship with your LDS. I have no great desire to purchase from mine because I am comfortable with net shops like TDL, scubatoys, PhilEllis, among others, etc. They give good service and will service the regs they sell.

It's not just about replacement parts. That said, don't feel the need to patronize your LDS if you don't like them. But if you want your LDS to stick around, then you may want to find a happy medium. If the only thing keeping you going there is the fact that they have a compressor, start saving up and taking courses and purchase/blend your own gas in the future.

My LDS is a fill station for me. Unfortunately, that's about it. The people are nice enough most times, but I don't think they are all that. Then again, I live in the middle of Maryland. I go elsewhere now for my training and my purchases.

But this shouldn't get dragged down into yet another "my LDS sucks" thread. Sorry.
