I know I`m becoming a pest here but I have some questions, I have been looking at Crushed Neoprene drysuits and have been slightly flustered. My scuba LDS can sell me a Diving Concepts Neo-Z blem for about $1498, but doesn`t have my size right now and I have heard DC is not so very fast at filling orders. The same suit on-line right now is $899. However I have seen DUI dry suits online from reputable dive shops for about the same price sometimes better.I just don`t know the difference between the different DUI suits, CF200SE;CLX450;CF200X. Could someone make some sense out of these for me? Does it have to do with wrist and neck seals? The thickness of the neoprene? I know all about supporting the local LDS but he wants ALOT of money for DUI suits, the one shop on-line guarantees the fit of the suits and will help with fitting. Aren`t these online shops a LDS somewhere? Why can`t our LDS check prices on-line like we do, and price their items a little better. I would gladly pay a little more than online to have a shop assist me with my purchase, but the prices are so good online for non-lifesupport stuff right now its hard to pay almost double for the same item. I appreciate all comments, even if I get chastised.

I was in the same delima a month or so ago. I decided to buy online from divetank.com. Richard is great. I got a custom suit and saved about $500 by buying it online! It fits perfect and I really like the Bare drysuit. They also sell DUI.

I too don't really understand why my LDS can get away with marking something up so much! I say go online and purchase your drysuit and use the money you saved towards your next dive trip!

That is my viewpoint on the whole LDS/Online debate. When I was shopping for my new bc, I wanted to pick up a new reg w/ it. The best my LDS could do was $600 for both. I found the same bc/reg online and added an octo, mask, and some accesories for less than LDS wanted. I told LDS the deal and gave them a chance to beat it, which they couldn't. I bring all my gear there to be serviced and filled etc. and I would LOVE to spend my money in the LDS and I do, but when I can save over $250 buying online then I don't see the conflict. I have been in the military for a while now and we don't make much money, so when I can save a little I do. I know that some of the online stores aren't auth dealers, but their warranty is just as good as, if not better than some MFG's. Never had a bad experience with online purchases yet. Knock on wood. And yes, a lot of these online stores are the LDS somewhere. Just my 2 cents!! Cheers!!:D
