I am going to check with sitech on this at dema and report back. Sort of ridiculous for this situation to exist.

You are kind of vague on what the problem is.

If you are looking for a dryglove system to work with the Slaggo cuffs I believe Waterproof makes the Ultima "soft" dryglove system that was designed to interface and work with Slaggo.

Hope that helps. I am interested in what the issue actually is.

The Ultima system has different dimensions and cannot be used with the slaggo system.

    Then what is this?

    Ultima Soft Dry Glove System

Specifically says it’s for use with Slaggo cuffs.

Well that is interesting. It appears that that is not the same set of rings that waterproof sent me when I purchased my waterproof ex2. The dimensions on the one that I received were much larger than the slaggo cuffs. It is the same drysuit as in the illustration.

As far as I know sitech the manufacturer of the slaggo system does not have a system for dry gloves that will fit on the slaggo rings, but waterproof does.

The difference may be that there is a hard and a soft version of the system from waterproof?

There is the Ultima DGS system and the Ultima soft system. The soft system must have come out in the last year or so which is why they sent me the DGS system instead.

Waterproof also says that the Ultima system will only work on their ISS systems which the ex2 does not have as it has the slaggo ring system.

    I appear to stand corrected.

    Thank you for the information.

Correct....Si-tech does not have a system that works with the slaggo cuff system in so far that there is not an interlocking fitting system. Perhaps one can use a system like the Virgo, quick glove, or glove lock mounted on the silicone or latex cuff seal as per the alternate mounting instructions for these systems but I am not sure.

Waterproof designed a version of their Ultima dryglove to work with the slaggo wrist cuff. Since the seal is held in place by clips they had to design a glove system to manage/interface with the new design. The Ultima soft system was released, as you postulated, in this past year from what I understand (I believe it was a new product released in the 2018 model year).

I believe the Waterproof ISS (interchangeable seal system?) is just waterproof's rebranding of the si-tech QCS oval system....Aqualung calls it the SLT system....if you have the si-tech qcs oval system regardless of how it is rebadged then yes, the Waterproof Ultima DGS ring system will work directly with it in an interlocking interface fashion.

I am not sure of the exact release date of the Slaggo flex ring cuff system or the Waterproof Ultima soft but it could be that early models of the suit you purchased were produced before the release of either and came with the QCS oval system.....someone probably/obviously screwed the pooch by sending you the wrong glove ring system. Waterproof comes across as a respectable brand...give them a shout and let them know so they have the opportunity to correct the mistake. I would be surprised if they don't.

I don’t think that the soft version was out when I purchased the ex2 at the end of 2017. That could explain why they sent the DGS system, it was the only thing available.

I ended up selling my DGS set online here since they wouldn’t fit.

My only concern is that the Ultimas don’t lock like the sitech locking rings.

I can't speak with experience for the Ultima Soft system but I have a set of the Ultima DGS and my wife has a set of the Si-Tech Glove Lock, I have also briefly played with the Si-Tech Quick Glove system and what seems to be an old set of Diving Concepts ring system.

From the looks of the Ultima Soft product description and pictures on the Waterproof website it looks like they modified the ring that inserts into the Si-tech Slaggo soft cuff ring and then changed the diameter of the glove rings to match. They look like the gloves rings attach the same way as the Ultima DGS.

With regards to the difference between the Ultima's and Si-tech glove system....

...The Ultima DGS was waterproof's answer to the lousy Si-Tech Antares system that was designed to work with the Si-Tech QCS oval setup...the tabs that locked the ring in place on the Anteres were purportedly fragile and would either bend or snap making the glove system unusable. The Ultima DGS was designed to be a direct fit with QCS oval cuff rings.

The Quick Glove system mounts similar to the Ultima DGS but there is an external ring that one spins to seperate the glove rings from the cuff rings. From what I have read, some folks had issues with the glove rings separating prematurely from the cuff rings during a dive.

The Glove Lock sytem has an interference o-ring seal but the glove ring is retained in place via the locking bayonet ring. you turn the bayonet ring one way to lock the glove ring to the cuff ring and the other way to separate the two halves. It seems to work well and I have a friend that successfully mounted and dove a set for the first time last night and they worked perfectly according to what he told me. My wife has yet to use hers as she just got her suit about a week or so ago.

As I said, I have the Ultima DGS on my suit. My suit came with the Si-Tech QCS oval wrist setup rebranded by Aqualung as the SLT system. They work great other than the learning curve on getting gloves mounted on the glove rings, but once the gloves are mounted they are, as we say in rock climbing, "bomber"...my gloves are not going to pop off without significant effort. The system positively locks together with a simple o-ring interface design.

Unfortunately the options to interface with the Slaggo flex cuff are limited...I recommend giving the Ultima Soft system a try, if it works as well as the DGS system it will work great.

Good luck with whatever solution you go with.

hi, I have the Scubapro Evertech dry suit with the Slaggo seals and I was also looking for dry gloves system. I indeed saw that Waterproof has one but I have been in touch with Si-Tech by email and I was told they were presenting their own dry gloves system for Slaggo at DEMA.
They didn't provide me with much info but from what I've understood, there sould be a rigid ring to attached at the Slaggo rings and the gloves with latex seal should go over it.
I was searching online if I could find any picture or video of DEMA showing the Si-Tech stand but I didn't find much. Only some distant pics where I saw what it could be the new dry gloves system called "NEVA" but I could see any details.
Did anybody visit the Si-Tech at DEMA and so this new dry gloves for Slaggo rings?

Waterproof did not have the Ultima soft dry glove system at their booth when I talked with them. They did have 10-12 boxes of the regular Ultima DGS systems. I order a set of the ultima soft rings from TUSA, the US distributor when I got back.

I briefly installed and then removed the system from my slaggo. The way they attached did not seem sufficiently robust for me.

They seem to be however, the only off the shelf system curently available for the slaggo system.

I ended up removing the slaggo system completely and installed a modified sitech quick cuff and rolock system, which I am very happy with.

An issue that I was not prepared for, is that the slaggo clips damage the silicone seals. When silicone seals get a puncture in them, they are toast.
