Okay... I have been talking with my dive buddy and we are both talking about planning a dream trip for 2-3 weeks sometime next year. We have a few ideas and wanted to see what you guys thought and if there was anything else we were really missing...

Galapagos 2 weeks, both "Southern Itinerary" and Darwin/Wolf. This is almost a no brainer to plan and I have been to the Galapagos when I was a kid.

Australia/NZ - One week on GBR, one week on NZ and one week for the rest of Aust. This could be an awesome trip and would not be only dive oriented. When is the best time to dive GBR?

Truk - Can this be combined with Palau?

Indonesia - Seems like a lot of ground to cover here. I have read a bunch of trip reports and lots of good things. What are the highlights.

French Polynesia - Seems like you would not want to spend more than 1 week at any particular place. Are there low flying flights tp get from one island to another so you could do multiple islands and not lose lots of dive time?

Yes, Its totally gruelling but Continental allowed my trip to Palau, with a stopover in Truk on the way back. I just booked it.--- Los Angeles-Oahu-Guam-Palau and returning Palau-Guam-Truk-Pohnpei-Kosrae-Kwajalein-Marshalls-Oahu-Los Angeles

Welcome to Scubaboard. That is a great first post. Sounds like a dream vacation. Did the travelling kick your butt? I don't know about all that time on a plane.

What,?? no mention of PNG. One of the most diverse spots on the planet? Galapagos would be my second choice and Palau my third.
