It is official. I have booked two weeks in late November at the Gran Bahia Principe Cayo Levantado near Samana, DR. We have many friends and family coming for the first week and will be a little busy that week (we are there for a wedding) but would like to get suggestions for things to do in the area. I know that the resort is an island so many activities would be mainland and am OK with that. I know the area is not known for having the best diving but still plan on doing some diving. I dive some crap conditions here where I get to look at nothing, so bad diving in DR is still likely to be better than typical diving here.

So, what would you recommend for topside (or underwater) activities in that area in November? I understand they now have ziplining in that area? Whale watching is out due to time of year (as I understand it anyway).

Did you ever feel like you are in the wrong place?

Well this sub-forum does cover DR but where I live, so far from good diving.....yes - wrong place.
