I got my hands on a few 12volt 7aH sealed batteries yesterday and did not know the condition or age of them. I got from 2 volts to 8 volts on them and figured I would see if they would take and keep a charge.
After reading about SLA chargers on the net, I figured I would charge them up the first time with a motorcycle battery charger. No sense in putting out money for a charger if the SLAs are not good.
One amp at a constant 13.7v and I would check on the battery from time to time to check voltage and heat. Not a full charge but enough to find out if the SLAs are any good.

Here is where it gets a little spooky. While I am hooking the Battery charger up I hear Tim Conway talking in that DORF voice.

"I ah Don'ta thinka that is a gooda Idea"... in a very low key drawn out relaxed voice. Geez...Since when does your common sense sound like a Fictional character?

Knowing that DORF is not real......The battery is charging on the from porch now.

Bet you thought Dorf was a typo for DIRF in the thread title.
