I just got back from the Maldives last month and I took my new Canon S90, (probably old hat now I would imagine). Anyways, I am a complete novice photographer, I am a point and shoot and hope for the best, although I did learn to programme the shortcut button to sort out my manual white balance.
Anyways, Canon has to be congratulated for such an awesome little camera, I was really surprised at the quality of the images and the ease of use it was capturing my diving pictures. I was put off for ages getting an underwater camera by all the lingo and techie information that was bombarded at me thinking I would be wasting a few hundred quid on something I would never get to grips with.
So for all those non techie photographers like me who don't know their F stops from their apperture, dont let it put you off from adventurng out and getting an underwater camera and having some fun with it.
Link to my pictures taken last month with my Canon S90, not quite to the standard of some of the pictures on here (some are absolutely outstanding, so congrats!) but great fun to use.
