Considering a visit to Bonaire at Christmas.

Since the trip would include days in 2014 and 2015 - when you arrive in 2014 you have to purchase a park pass the question is - does a diver have to purchase a second permit for the 2015 portion of the trip?

Nope. Just one pass... Whichever is available when you arrive.

Sorry for the short reply earlier. I had just boarded a plane and had to shut down my gizmo quickly.

We've visited Bonaire for the last 2 weeks in December and 1st week in January for the last 5 years. Depending on our arrival date the dive shop sells us whatever tags the BNMP has given them to sell. Sometimes it's the current year, and sometimes it's the coming year. But in all years they've told us that we only need one set of tags for our 3 week visit. I expect it might be different if we were staying for several weeks into the new year, but alas this is not our good fortune.

We sometime end up in Bonaire for Xmas and new years and it has never been an issue. We are normally (always?) provided with a tag for the "next" year.
