Hi all.
I'm going to the Dominican Republic on a family vacation in the end of August to a resort in the Bayahibe area. Due to a recent septoplasty operation (repair of deviated septum) the doc ordered to limit diving to 30 feet. Is there any diving worth doing there under these limiting conditions? What about Catalina Island? If I join a group with a local DM, would I be considered a burden? My 14 y.o son is a diver (better than I am!) and he may be my 30 ft buddy.

i just got back from dominica. there was some stuff to see from 15-30 ft. it was very simple, but still enjoyable.
i went to the dominican republic a few years ago when i wasnt diving and snorkled. there was a lot to see while snorkling, so it was probably around 30 ft.
