DOMINICA, KNOWN AS THE NATURE ISLAND, WITH PLENTIFUL MARINE LIFE & COLORFUL CORALS.
7 nights - 8 Days
Dominica is a magnificent island in the Winward Islands of the South Eastern Caribbean. This is a rare opportunity to be one of a handful of divers who has ever experienced the majesty of Dominica above and below the water. It feels like Indonesia close to home. We may see only one other dive boat all week, and we will have every dive site to ourselves.
Whales can be seen year round in Dominica, with up to 22 species of whales throughout the year! We will go in search of them!
The valet diving is amazing and easy. We will swim in blue tang fish soup, look for frog fish, sea horses, eagle rays, dolphins, flying gunards and magnificent huge barrel sponges.
The Dominican people and culture are devoted to caring for each other, visitors and the environment. It feels like being home with family.
We will be staying at the Jungle Bay resort, built on sustainability with 98% of local people employed there, and organic gardens surrounding the property that will feed us during our stay.
The resort includes and infinity pool overlooking Scotts Head Bay where we will dive with the outstanding Nature Island Dive.
The island is magical and there are many optional tours to explore it’s majesty. Two thirds of the island is covered with tropical rain forests, home to over a thousand different species of plants. Multiple large waterfalls, boiling lake, world heritage site, all make for an amazing week.
Optional Activities:
