Hi
Took the housing below it's rated depth but not by much.
Found I had a small amount of water in the housing after the dive.
I have now found the problem and it's the port extension into the 8" dome port has twisted and is now cross threaded.
It could not have been like this prior to this dive. I was traveling and had the port at over 55 mts several times before this dive.
Has anyone had this problem and how can I get it unscrewed.
Cheers
Keith

Keith,

Exceeding our depth ratings is not recommended.

You may attempt to remove the cross-threaded port body from the port by having two strong individuals face each other, and then grab and rotate the opposing pieces counterclockwise. I would strongly recommend that you send the cross-threaded port and body to the Ikelite Service Department for inspection and possible replacement. Include a brief letter of explanation or this thread, and full contact information to:

Ikelite Underwater Systems
Attn. Service Dept.
50 W. 33rd St.
Indpls., IN 46208

Please include your name, complete return address, email, phone number, and your stated problem or service request. Normal service completion time is 2-3 weeks.

Best Regards,

Brett Foster - Ikelite

I cannot unscrew mine either.

I don't think it has been deeper than 160 ft
