As a brand do they tend to run large or small?

I’m between sizes on their hood and wetsuit and can’t really tell which way to go based on feel

They're Swedish, so they lean towards thin European body types as opposed to rounder American body types.
I have a waterproof hood that's an XL. According to the specs I should have gotten a L. It is a bit loose but I haven't had any issues getting cold with it even in wither in water in the low 50's.

All I can suggest is to get it from a retailer with a good return policy.

Is that fit or fat or Asian

Waterproof have a very comprehensive sizing chart ( more so than other makes) and its a matter of finding the nearest measurements to yours. I have a W7 which when I did measurements I figured the closest and got that ( a proviso since I bought online that it could be returned). It fits great apart from arms & legs being a couple of centimetres short but I can live with it as it fits perfectly around shoulders, waist, hips, legs and arms without any looseness for water flushing, so Im very happy with it. Boots cover the leg shortness and gloves as needed where it's a tad short on the wrist. But I'm 6' 2" tall and 76Kg so a slim guy.

Their undergarments (Body X, MeshTec) are spot-on to sizing chart.
My head is 22 & 3/4", and size Large H1 Hood fits perfectly snug.

I've been interested in their wetsuits but the size chart seems more for moderately stout people:

the waist to chest ratios are high and there aren't any sizes like henderson's "LT" for tall thinner people. for example i'm 6'3, 43" chest, 34" waist - i'm guessing L would be the best fit?

They have tall sizes on the right. You could try MT or LT
good point and thank you for pointing that out, probably a nicer fit option.

it's still the same chest to waist ratio though - though maybe that's more like a max waist than recommended?

6'4" - 40" chest - 34" waist here, slim athletic build, have three Waterproof wetsuits W5/W7/W8: all ML/t and fit perfectly.

awesome, now i'm interested for sure, they look like great wetsuits
edit: ordered the 1mm neoskin as a test, since it's very warm here at the moment
