I have the option of buying a Halcyon 40lbs single wing and I was wondering if I needed to buy a Halcyon back plate and single tank adaptor attach everything together. How interchangeable are the wings with backplates? Would I still be able to attach a Hollis backplate and single tank adaptor to it?

I plan on making my own harness using this protocol:
Webbing a Harness

Unless someone know where I can buy a remade harness with yellow webbing for cheap.

No, you don't have to use a Halcyon plate with a Halcyon wing. They're almost all interchangeable.

As evad has said, no you don't. Most wings will work with most plates if you use an STA. Halcyon and Hollis are a very similar design, in fact the STAs are almost identical, you'll be fine.

Great, thank you! I knew about the STA, but I wanted to double check about the crossover of backplates!

Go forth and dive.
