Hi Doc and others,

Just had my consultation and vaccinations with the Mercy Outpatient Center Travelers Advisory Service in Miami. The Director, R.N. Skip Camp was tremendously informative and thorough. He went over with me, in great detail, all of the medical risk factors involved in my upcoming PNG trip and suggested very frankly which prophylactics were advised and which I may want to consider skipping in light of the type of travel I'll be doing and their possible side effects.

He administered innoculations for Tetanus/Dyptheria, Hep A and Typhoid, and scrips for Malarone (Malaria) and Cipro (Severe diarrhea with fever), and provided me with a full understanding of the various levels of traveler's diarrhea I could potentially face and the steps to take to alleviate the symptoms.

Skip also gave me extensive and comprehensive instructions on how to best protect myself against mosquito bites and a clear idea of exactly how the Malarial protezoa invade and multiply, not to mention a free can of Permethrin (sp?) spray with which to treat clothing.

All told, a very positive and informative experience which I highly recommend. (Cost including innoculations, but not scrips, $238).

Best,

Thank you for the requested feedback.

I've long had confidence in the Center. Fairly priced, as well.

Guess you're good to go.

Best regards.
