Not sure what it is, but my Subal EXR 13/4 is always so hard to take off my DP 100/4

I was taking photos in a really sandy place, so I should probably just get my fingers going and separate these things, but I was wondering if folks remove them after every dive or leave them.

They collect grit and seize... Remove them regularly or accept it's a permanent extension. It's hard on the oring unscrewing them through the grit... But fused together sucks worse which is the alternative I've met with.
