When i started teaching scuba to people with disabilities in 1997 everyone in the industry called people with disabilities handicapped divers or disabled divers. I refused to do that and started to change the language to adaptive divers. I'm thankful that after decades of working with people with disabilities and using the skills i acquired in the media business to educate the dive industry, they have "adapted" and changed the language too. Diveheart is proud to have led this change. Stay tuned for more #adaptive #scubatherapy #disabilities #charity #freedom #hope #healing #rehabilitation
