.... I recently installed OPV's on a pair of Apeks XTX 200's....... but was wondering if the OPV's have an expected service life and need to be replaced on some sort of schedule, based on hours of usage, etc. ?

They are pretty simple mechanisms. There is a seat and a spring and neither is dynamic so there is no hours of usage limitation. Absent corroson, etc. an OPV should not need to be replaced anytime soon.

...thanks DA Aquamaster...... I didn't know if they needed replacement in the same way one may replace burst-disks in a tank valve, which also has no moving parts, but under sustained pressure loads does 'metal-fatigue- and requires periodic replacement.
