What is the best lens do all lens? I have a t2i in a sea & sea housing. What lens will do all for beginners? I have the 18-55 that came with the T2i and a tokina 10-17. Is there a better do all lens? I know everyone says choose a lens before you go diving but what if you want to take landscapes, close ups and big suff? I am not afraid of spending money on a new lens but want something I can get used too?

The Tokina 10-17 is a good lens for other divers, landscapes and large fish assuming they let you get very close.

The sigma 17-70 macro is a decent do all lens. It allows moderate close ups and is good for large fish like big angels that might not want you to get really close.

The 60 mm macro is a very nice lens. It shoots true macro but you have to get so close that true macro is often impractical. It has very high quality optics.

The 105 macro has the stand off distance to allow true macro. It also has the reach to take nice shos of skittish, fast moving small fish: butterfly fish, damsels, jawfish, bennies and gobies.

Remember with macro lenses, you need an internal focus, that is the lens stays a constant length whilst you focus.
