I wanted to see if anyone had some info if it was possible to do my DMT in Palau. I am backpacking and I am on a bit of a budget ($3,000 a month). Any help is greatly appreciated. If not Palau any other recommendations?

3k a month?!? thats a fantastic budget for a backpacker, i went for 7 months on $1500 total 
Hmm, you can certainly do DM training in Palau, places like Sams, Neco, and Fish n Fins would all do it. However, you may find it expensive. No idea what prices they charge for that. I am sure it would be on their websites and they could probably help to find you cheapish accomodation.
You may find Indonesia, Philippines, or Malaysia as a cheaper option for DM training though
