Here is a photo of my final solution. I used an Intova Torch Adaptor for a mini-torch, which was almost the right size. I needed to file off 1/8" of the arm and use two plastic spacers to make it tighten. The light is very bright--1400 lumens with a small hot spot, so I made a diffuser from a rubber hood for a landscape light and a translucent SLR body cap. Best I could do while on vacation in Cozumel:) Hopefully I will get a chance to post some night dive video with this rig.

I finally got some videos up on YouTube to illustrate how my DIY video light rig works. One caveat: I bought two lights, a Keygos S9 and a S3. They are very similar with the same very bright 1400 lumen output. The S9 flooded the second or third time I used it. The company I bought it from gave me a refund, no hassles. The S3 worked well, so I am going to buy another one and use a double-light setup for night dives.
