Over the past few years I've heard about how amazing red lights work on night dives and how the fish dont notice the light.

Has anyone tried to make their own removable filter? If so, how well did it work? What did you use? Suggestions?

I've been looking at the different potential materials. It looks like red cellophane could be an option, but I'm not sure if its thick enough. There are some other thick tinted plastics that may work as well. Thoughts?

Very cool project you have going on there! Love the ingenuity.

I will definitely try out the bicycle inner tube idea, it looks like something that would work really well. That being said, do you have any ideas where I might find red tinted plastic?
