I've posted in the Women's section too, but just want to know if anyone is aware of any dangers of diving whilst suffering endometriosis and problematic ovarian cysts?

Can't have an operation til July and am wondering if it is safe for me to dive in the meantime? Is there any risk of the pressure from depths bursting a cyst?!

Here is what DAN has to say about endometriosis & scuba--->

As regards ovarian cysts, cystic entities that are fluid-filled are not subject to Boyle's law and therefore not expected to be adversely impacted solely by the pressure from depths.

Thanks Doc... That's a bit of a weight off my mind.

I will make sure also that I also ask my gynaecologist just to double check, but i'm not sure how much he'd know about diving related medicine!

Cheers

Your gynecologist can always consult with DAN. The contact info appears in my post to you in the Women's Views--Diving-Related forum.

Best of luck.
