Hey Guys....myself and several other advanced dive buddies would like to dive Truk and were looking at the "Thornfinn". Aggressor no longer goes there and Odyssey is booked fro 2007. Any helpfull tips about diving on the Thornfinn?? Also travel tips from Port St Lucie Florida. Thanks in advance...

I am a repeat customer of the thorfinn and would not dream of using any other..

To get to Chuuk you will end up flying through Houston
the normal route is houston-honolulu-guam-chuuk, avoid the island hopper honolulu-> chuuk ( several stops in between)

The rooms on the thorfinn are big and confortable.. Don't bring alot of clothes you dont need it.. The nice thing about the thorfinn is that they can generate about 7k gallons of fresh water a day so shower as long as you like :)

The food is very good, but if you have special dietary need you must let them know ahead of time.. other than breakfast everyone has the same meals..

Liquor like beer/wine is no longer free.. If you want it you have to buy it..

If your group is technically minded, set it up ahead of time they currently have 4 sets of doubles available and deco tanks.. A small group can get their own launch and do their own schedule if desired.. No need for a "tech week" like the odyssey..

Rebreathers are also supported, Oxygen and sorb are available (sorb has to be ordered ahead of time)

If your looking at tech stuff email Capt Lance and let him know I recommended him..
