Do not cancel your dive plans for Coz. I have just planned 3 trips Dec.14-18 Jan 14-18 and Feb 11-18.

Raul at www.bottomtimedivers.com and his boat have surrvived the storm as have many operators. They need our buisness now more than ever. If you were booked in a resort or hotel that has been closed and may not open untill spring stay downtown. Many downtown hotels only suffered minor damage and now that the electricity is back on they can make reservations. Raul can let you know which ones and probably can arrange somthing for you, as well as Christi at Blue xt sea and Michaela at Liquid Blue.
You will be helping the small dive operator and the small locally owned hotels pay their bills.
Besides my wife is not a diver and I can use a couple dive buddies on the above dates.

Thank you Loudives~ Cozumel and operators appreciate the support, and you are absolutely right.

Imagine…
In the days prior to cruise ships and big all-inclusive hotel resorts, Cozumel was a quaint diver’s paradise. Why not take advantage of an opportunity to experience the Cozumel of the past during this time of quiet restoration? Stay downtown close to your favorite restaurants, dive operators and the zocalo (town square). Have coffee and breakfast on the town square, and after a full day of diving, dine on authentic Mexican cuisine or fresh conch ceviche and shrimp cocktail at a local fishing family’s restaurant. Finish your evening with a walk along the Malecon, a lively and colorful place to watch the beautiful sun set. Relive the old Caribbean feeling of the Cozumel of the past!

Amen...ditto...and Amen again! :)

This is exactly what we intend to do, from 12/3 to 12/10..
Seeing that we never had the pleasure of experiencing the Cozumel that you are describing, we are looking forward it..
