Planning a dive trip to the Florida Keys next year. Any dive companies and/or dive sites that anyone would recommend? Any input would be helpful.

I just booked for June with Conch Republic in Tavernier (a few miles south of Key Largo). Prices are good and lots of recommendations from other divers here on the board. They are listed in the latest issue of Scubadiving magazine and received the highest scores by readers.

I bought a beautifully illustrated book by Stephen Frink called "The Florida Keys Dive Guide". Lots of good information and several pages about each of the major dive sites. It includes illustrated maps of all the dives. very nice.

The are many threads in the "Florida Conch Divers" section on the keys. If you can post your experience level (new diver, advanced diver, etc) that can help. In Key Largo, the Spiegel Grove is a big attraction, but is an advanced dive. The majority of the reefs are in the Key Largo/Tavernier area, but further south - Marathon and Looe Key also have some nice reefs and wrecks also.
Where are you staying? Do you prefer a large boat or small boat? Many people on the board can give you advice on the FL keys, but it would help to have a little more information as to your experience and where you plan to stay.
