We are getting ready to dive Cozumel and Grand Cayman while we are on the Disney Magic in April. We wanted to see if anyone else had gone on these excursions and if there was any good advice out there?

Thanks....

We are diving the same locations through another cruise line next week, and found it difficult to book dives on my own. I learned today that our Cozumel port times have changed due to a "cruise ship curfew". You may want to check with your cruise operator to see if your itinerary has changed. I'm in a pinch right now because I booked a two tank, 1PM dive on my own in Cozumel, and I'm worrried about being able to get back to the tenders by 4:15 to make our new 5PM departure.

Grand Cayman was hard to book because the arrival time made making a morning dive trip impossible, and the early departure time made an afternoon trip a bad idea. I did find Seasports ( http://www.bestdivingingrandcayman.com/ ), and they have a 10AM, two tank trip that works well with the cruise ship schedule. I have seen some postive posts about their operation.

If you are booking your dives through your ship, then your safe either way.

As a future reference for you and an aside, this is considered a Western Caribbean itinerary ;)

Can't comment on the dive ops that Disney uses, but in Grand Cayman I highly recommend Off the Wall Divers or Neptunes Divers. In Cozumel, I have been out several times with Disney crewmembers at Eagle Ray Divers, though I also really like Blue XT Seas and understand both Dive with Martin and Dive With Alison are very good and accommodating to cruise ship divers.
