Is there any increased risk of DCI/DCS by diving the day before a laparoscopy?

Thanks Doc,

B.

I doubt that there is increased risk of DCS with surgery 24 hours in the future.

Eventhough they fill your abdomen with CO2?

We are looking at diving till 3:00 pm Sunday and the surgery is at 10:30 am Monday.

Yes, even with carbon dioxide - it is many hours later. But, why would you wish to do this? :11:

:eyebrow: One last dive before it is out of the question during the recovery period.

I will be advising her that she should not dive. I just wanted a second opinion.

Thanks,
B.
