I went for the first time last year and had a blast! The first dive was a little nerve racking, but after that it was smooth sailing. I missed my target on the first dive and ended up in 54 feet of black water with only one flashlight. I kept thinking my light was going to go out and I'd end up getting run over by a boat on the surface.

On the thid dive, the current had picked up considerably. I found myself literally clinging to a log and picking up tooth after tooth. The current and visability were too bad to examine the finds while underwater; I had to wait to do that in the boat.

My wife and I stayed in downtown Charleston. To those who have never been there, you've got to check downtown Charleston out. We found it to be very clean and enjoyable. There are too many good places to eat to count.

Charleston was an 8 hour drive from home. I'm thinking the wife and I will have to travel that way again Spring '09. I fossil hunted all summer long on the Chipola in Florida and didn't find near the fossils I found on that 3 tank dive on the Cooper. It's like hunting over a baited field.
