Hello out there,

I absolutely love diving and every part of the ocean, like most all of us here :jump:

So I am trying to find programs I can get involved in related to diving. I have heard of programs a Diver can join where they help with identifying fish, possibly catch fish for studies or major aquariums, study environment etc, etc.

Does anyone out there have any info on where I can find programs such as these? or if they even exist!

Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks....Happy diving...

Most major aquariums allow amateurs along on collecting trips, so long as you're willing to pay. Make yourself a list and start getting in touch with them. Bring $$$$$.

If you're really interested in learning about the ocean and fishies in particular, you might consider any of a number of colleges and universities that have oceanic programs of one sort or another.

Thanks Reefraff,

You are absolutely correct. I just spoke to an aquarium in the New England States and though the adventure sounds like alot of fun the cost was about $3,500 for one diver for five days.

I will check into your other suggestion...Thanks and happy diving :mostlysun
